This place is a hidden gem in town. Wilson's makes one of the best wings in town, but this place is too well hidden! Wilson's is basically a hole in the wall, where this awesome dude named Wilson does everything; Wilson takes the orders, cooks the wings, and cleans! If you check his Facebook page, he will often post something about always working hard and hustling, like a true Memphian! I don't know what's in his South Memphis Kool-Aid, but I'm drinking it and you should too!
The flavors for the wings are the typical flavors. Some other places have a little bit too many flavors if you ask me. Wilson's doesn't need to. From hot to suicide, honey gold to honey suicide, seasoned, lemon pepper, and BBQ, they're all good!
Next time I'm here, I need to try the "n Things" part. Wilson also serves burgers, and that South Memphis Fish is what I'm coming for next. If the ways he does wings are any indication, I have to assume that they'll be fantastic as well. -

This place is a jewel of a mom and pop place. The prices are great for the quality and quantity of wings you get. I tried three flavors: suicide, honey gold, and lemon pepper. They were all excellent. The wings are fried very well, so they weren't dripping oil and were crispy in texture. It could be a nicer place to eat, but the food is solid. The dressing appears to be made in house. The blue cheese I had was solid. Great wing place.

Wilson is the epitome of the great wings shop here in Memphis. It's close to the medical district and Crosstown, but I tend to see folks and locals from all over downtown coming to his shop. While it's a small place, you can always eat it near by with the to go boxes. The wings are crispy fried and then sauced, and the sauces are amazing. I like Honey Hot the most. Lemon Pepper is great if you don't want to be too messy and you prefer a dry rub. If you haven't been, on your first time coming I order the South Memphis KoolAid. He has a great recipe for it and it goes well with the wings.
Wilson is also a pretty friendly and affable guy. You'll be happy you stopped here -

Tried Wilson's for the first time today. Called the order in and it was ready when I arrived. I got 7 piece whole wings, honey hot. They were fantastic. Everything Memphis wings ahold be.
I will definitely be back. -

Wilson really knows what he's doing with those wings. I loved the lemon flavor one. Sooooo scrumptious. I could eat those wings all day. Loved the freshly made kool-aid on the side. And Wilson is just such a great man. I would love to go to the casino with you next time I'm in Memphis, Wilson! We could have a great time drinking cold ones and spending some cold hard cash. Cheers to chicken!
